I have 12 epub books. Can I sell them on apple? How do I upload them?

It seems as though my ePubs have to be converted to iBooks. Can I sell them as ePubs? How do you sign up to sell your books? Are there directions, for uploading. The books are on my own website, and I don't want to convert them as the crosswords etc will get squished.
